Group Study Exchange (GSE)

What is Group Study Exchange?

Group Study Exchange is a flagship program of our District and of the Rotary Foundation. The Group Study Exchange (GSE) program of The Rotary Foundation is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women between the ages of 23 and 43 and in the early years of their professional lives. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. For four to six weeks, team members experience the host country’s institutions and ways of life, observe their own vocations as practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships and exchange ideas.

Our District has exchanged with Districts across the world, including Spain, Turkey, Sweden, USA, the Netherlands and South Korea over the past 5 years. Interested Rotary Clubs can nominate team members and a Rotarian team leader. They can also host the visiting team or host welcome and farewell functions for both teams.

If you are interested in being a team member, contact your local Rotary Club so they can nominate you or contact the Rotary District 9800 GSE Committee.

Travel and Study Scholarships – young professionals 23-43 years of age

• Aims to advance their careers and meet colleagues sharing similar vocations
• Relatives of Rotary members permitted to apply
• Clubs required for Home Hosting, Vocational and Cultural visits, Fellowship, Transport
• Welcome and Farewell functions are yet to be allocated, however we would welcome expressions of interest from clubs or clusters; for further information contact GSE Chair Anne Peace.
